Recording Studio

Seven Moths offers a full array of music production services via our founder Michael Greer O’Shea’s personal recording studio in Atlanta, GA. He specializes in mixing and mastering and has over 200 song credits as a mastering engineer.

Every Seven Moths Records Release was produced in some facet by Michael Greer O’Shea, whether full album production or simply mastering. He has worked on releases on larger labels like Joyful Noise Records, K Records, and SCI Fidelity Records, and he has worked with artists from across the country in genres ranging from hip-hop to acoustic folk.

In addition to working as a producer, Michael Greer O’Shea is a multi-instrumentalist and vocalist and has released 5 solo electrorock albums under the name Kinjac. The latest Kinjac music video was also directed by Michael Greer O’Shea and premiered on Bandcamp Daily with an interview.

We firmly believe that ear is more important than gear, but it does help that we have the right tools.

Mastering Before/After Sample

[This is an A/B sample to show the difference between a mix and the final mastered version. The mix has been normalized to peak at the same -0.1 db level as the mastered version, so the difference in volume is in the perceived loudness from dynamic compression in the mastering process, not a difference in peak level.]
